FOOD & NUTRITION
Promoting good nutrition, healthy food habits and attitudes with all children at our centres is an essential part of our daily educational programs and practice.
Meals at all of our centres are prepared fresh daily on the premises in our fully equipped kitchens and our menu's have been designed to offer children 50% of their daily nutritional requirements.
We have both a summer menu and winter menu which incorporates an abundance of seasonal fresh produce. Our menus operate on a 5 week rotation allowing the children to embrace a variety of meals and experience tastes and flavours from all over the world.
We also aim to support and cater for children with food allergies, dietary needs or restrictions as well as providing for specific cultural and religious practices. All centres are specifically "nut free" and all of our staff have current anaphylaxis and first aid training.
We take our responsibility of serving high quality meal options so seriously that we have our seasonal menus independently assessed by an external, qualified Dietitian.
David Bryant from Catalyst Dietitian reviews our meal plans and ensures they not only meet the recommended nutritional standards, but where possible, exceed them.
We’d love you to take a look at the short video below, which highlights David’s current assessment of our Winter Menu.
Our centres follow strict cleaning and safety guidelines in regards to food preparation and personal hygiene habits whilst undergoing regular audits and inspections.
